GPS software is how we get our GPS devices to function and work properly. With the use of a battery, if you turn the power on your GPS you will insure it will start up, but with out software installed into the device, it will not perform the way that is meant to. GPS software is usually 1.5 - 1.8GB in size which includes all of the maps. Of course you can delete uneeded state maps to free up room, but that is not what I want to do. GPS software is intended for navigation, wayfinding, and identifying landmarks and street names. It should not, however, be viewed as a replacement for the traditional mobility tools.
